PlayStats ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Account information

When you sign up, we collect your email address and any profile details you provide.

Cricket statistics

When you claim a player profile, we retrieve your publicly available cricket statistics from PlayHQ / Cricket Australia. This includes match scores, batting and bowling figures, and ball-by-ball data from public match records.

User-created content

Annotations, coaching notes, and metadata you add to your innings and match records are stored in our systems.

Usage data

We collect basic usage information such as pages viewed and features used to improve the service. We do not use third-party tracking or advertising cookies.

• To communicate with you about your account

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit). We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.

Player statistics displayed on PlayStats are sourced from publicly available data on PlayHQ, operated by GameOn Enterprises Pty Ltd on behalf of Cricket Australia. This data is publicly accessible and consists of factual match records.

We may share your information only in these circumstances:

• With your coach — if you are part of a coaching group, your coach can view your statistics and any shared annotations
• Service providers — we use Supabase for data storage and authentication; they process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies
• Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our legal rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal information we hold
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your user-created content

PlayStats may be used by cricketers of all ages. For users under 16, we recommend a parent or guardian manages their account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without parental consent beyond what is necessary to provide the service.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice on the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
